{"id":16413,"date":"2022-02-28T10:43:11","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T10:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rmdkwikform.com\/uk-office-branch-christmas-closure-dates-copy\/"},"modified":"2023-09-27T15:23:33","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T14:23:33","slug":"keeping-rail-infrastructure-projects-on-track","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev01.rmdkwikform.com\/us\/keeping-rail-infrastructure-projects-on-track\/","title":{"rendered":"Keeping rail infrastructure projects on track"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The construction of the new railway is split into three phases:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Phase One, linking London and the West Midlands<\/li>\n<li>Phase 2a, linking the West Midlands and the North via Crewe<\/li>\n<li>Phase 2b, consisting of an Eastern leg (from the West Midlands to East Midlands Parkway) and a Western leg (from Crewe to Manchester)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Phase One alone will see the construction of more than 50 viaducts, 110 embankments, 150 bridges and 32 miles of tunnels.<\/p>\n<p>The benefits of HS2 are extensive, from providing much-needed rail capacity across the country to helping build a sustainable transport infrastructure that will ensure the industry\u2019s carbon emissions are reduced, while helping \u2018level up\u2019 the UK too, providing more people with better connections so they can take advantage of more employment and leisure opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dev01.rmdkwikform.com\/hs2\/\">Temporary works equipment<\/a> will be required to help meet the demands of this hugely ambitious project.
