The survey, which was completed by primary contractors (both specialist and general) and engineering consultants, looks at worldwide construction methods, market challenges, productivity and safety practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study highlights areas where temporary works can have a significant impact on productivity and safety, and highlights where there is a need for education and knowledge transfer.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"block-heading\">Key Findings<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adopting building methods that specifically reduce labour requirements was considered the number one factor in improving productivity<\/li>\n<li>60% of respondents want the \u201cright solution\u201d when it comes to a <a href=\"\/product-type\/formwork\/\">formwork<\/a> and <a href=\"\/product-type\/shoring-falsework\/\">shoring solutions<\/a> \u2013 cost was not a key determinant<\/li>\n<li>58% of contractors believe that individuals on-site need to take responsibility for health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Slip forming was deemed the most popular construction method for high-rise cores<\/li>\n<li>67% of respondents consider basement excavations to be one of the most important things on any high-rise project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Driving Productivity and Safety in High-Rise Construction In June 2019 RMD Kwikform launched a report on the state of the global high-rise and commercial building sector.
