Aldridge-based temporary works supplier Altrad RMD Kwikform proudly marked its 90th anniversary with a celebratory BBQ event at its head office, attended by employees past and present and local MP Wendy Morton.
The milestone event paid tribute to the company’s rich history and enduring contribution to the construction and infrastructure sectors, both in the UK and internationally. Staff gathered for an afternoon of food and speeches, celebrating nine decades of innovation, engineering excellence and teamwork.
UK Managing Director Mark Pickard addressed the guests with a look back at the company’s evolution, from its early beginnings in 1935 to becoming part of the global Altrad Group. He highlighted key achievements and thanked past and present employees for their role in shaping the company’s success.
He said: “We’re incredibly proud to be celebrating 90 years of RMD Kwikform. This company has been built on the dedication, innovation and collaboration of our people, and today is about recognising that legacy and looking forward to the exciting future ahead.”
Local Member of Parliament for Aldridge-Brownhills, Wendy Morton, also spoke at the event, commending the business for its longstanding presence in the region and its role as a local employer.
She added: “Altrad RMD Kwikform is a fantastic example of a West Midlands company with a global footprint. Reaching 90 years is a remarkable achievement, and I’m delighted to celebrate this moment with the team.”
Founded in 1935, RMD Kwikform became part of the Altrad Group in 2021, and today provides engineering and temporary works equipment solutions to complex construction and infrastructure projects around the world.
The 90th anniversary celebration brought together multiple generations of staff to reflect on the company’s shared history and look ahead to a strong future. One key employee in attendance was Mike Hathaway, who is a Global Quality Technician and RMD Kwikform’s longest serving employee of 60 years.
